Why Did I Start a Debt-Free Coaching Business?
Compassion for Those Who Are in Debt
Statistics show that 70% of people are in financial distress. That’s a large majority of people who are dealing with financial stress as a result of financial spending habits. Debt may have benefits of getting more than a person should be able to get such as a car, a house, material things without having cash in hand for the item, but the interest charges are horrendous. When credit cards are being used and there is no plan in place, the debtor continues to accumulate date at an alarming rate and does not feel the pain until the minimum payments get to a point where it is no longer manageable based on the debtors income.
Passion for Personal Finances
I can talk about personal finances and all aspects of it for days and not get bored. I’m just weird like that because most people are not interested in the subject to begin with. I enjoy talking about giving, saving, spending, budgets, cash flow plans, good financial habits, bad financial habits, cutting expenses, increasing income, business, real estate, investing, mortgages, interest rates, compounding interest, taxes, debt, credit cards, loans, financial improvement, financial freedom, financial stress, worry, calculations, car loans, personal loans, financial questions, financial situations, financial problems, what to do in all kinds of financial situations, etc. I can go on and on for days. I have opinions, facts, statistics, drawings, sketches, books, apps, spreadsheets. I’m just a complete nerd when it comes to personal finances. I absolutely love the subject and I want to teach about it all the time.
Interest in Making a Difference in the Lives of People
I have always wanted to help people as long as I could remember. I feel that it is my duty, my role to help people to improve their lives in every area, financially, spiritually, physically, etc. I want to make a positive difference in people’s lives. If there is something I can do to help someone, I want to do it. I can help people or I can hurt people. I would much rather help people. When it comes to the area of personal finances, I’m alarmed by the number of people who are loaded with debt and seem to be okay with it. Too much debt makes it to where you feel its negative effects. I want to do my part in guiding people to become debt-free because there is a sense of freedom that comes with getting out of debt.
Personal Experience of the Effects of Financial Stress
I was $35,000 of debt about seven years ago. I was stressed out and worried because I had so much debt. I know how it feels to be hopeless and not know what to do next to get out of debt. It wasn’t until I came across a friend that was on a plan to get out of debt that I realized I had a problem with using credit cards and borrowing money. I went to hang out with this friend one evening and found a financial book lying on the ground. I picked it up, opened it to a story of a family that had more debt than me, earned less money and had kids. They were able to get out of debt in a relatively short amount of time. That first story motivated me to get my financial situation in order. I borrowed the book from my friend, read all the motivational testimonials and decided I was going to get on a plan to get out of debt. Under three years later after starting the plan, I became debt-free. It was not easy, but it sure was worth it. It would have been easier had I hired a financial coach. That’s the role I want to play for you. I want to have the privilege of being your debt-free coach. Will you let me, so that it’s easier for you than it was for me?
Entrepreneurial Spirit Within
I’m an entrepreneur. I done working a job for someone else making someone else rich. I want to work for myself and earn as much as I’m worth. I want to earn as much as my own brain will allow me. I want to earn as much as I can sell. I’m an entrepreneur. I would rather work 80 hours for myself and earn less money than to work 40 hours for someone else. I know how rewarding it is to work for myself and that’s what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to hire people to work for me instead of me working for someone else. I can’t work for someone else because it makes me miserable. Working for myself makes me happy, so that’s what I have decided to do.
